Overview
As part of the celebrations of Railway 200, recognising and celebrating 200 years since the first journey of the modern railway, we have developed resources looking at how vital the railway has been in transforming and affecting areas within our local geography, shaping the past, present and future.
This is a pack of different questions to be used with students to find out all about their local station. Children can do this as part of a field trip that can be organised by the teacher, or even in partnership with one of our Learning Development Officers at your local station. Likewise, this can be a research task and fact finding mission that can also be completed from your classroom with the right investigative tools.
