Overview

This assembly has been produced by the Platform team for Rail Safety Week (24th – 30th June 2024).

It has been carefully created to ensure children learn the most important safety messages about the railways, whilst also gaining confidence to travel by train. It covers all the key safety messages around staying safe at stations, high speed trains, electrification, trespassing and level crossings.

Designed to educate – not to frighten or shock – this assembly explores the dangers of the railway alongside the solutions for staying safe.

With plenty of opportunity to discuss, make decisions and actively participate, this assembly delivers skills and knowledge that are important for life.
