How to Take a Bath in Bath

Bath Spa Classroom
Learning Outcomes
Students will learn how the Romans used the Baths, making inferences about objects discovered there, before summarising life in Roman Britain.
1 hour and 30 minutes

Across 2 lessons, students will plunge into life in Roman Bath, exploring a range of objects and their uses, and making inferences about life in Roman Britain.

Then, it is time to dip their toes into the fantastical world of Roman Gods and Goddesses, facing off the Gorgon’s Head before designing a temple of their own.

With video stimuli, pictures, opportunities for oracy and creative tasks, this lesson will shower students with inspiration and wet their appetites for historical learning.
