In this lesson, students will be transported back to WWI to learn about the remarkable bravery, strength and sacrifice of war horses.
From this, they will focus in on the Shirehampton Remount Depot, and learn how any why 300,00 of the magnificent beasts passed through there on their way to and from the battlefields.
Students will collaborate to make their own War Horse Memorial.
- Pupils should study an aspect of history or a site dating from a period beyond 1066 that is significant in the locality
